| Enjoying a truly peaceful rural setting on the edge of the North Yorkshire National Park these comfortably furnished lodges share a small private woodland site close to the River Ure in Wensleydale with only one similar property. Within 3 miles lies the small market town of Masham with a quaint cobbled square which plays host to weekly markets speciality markets and Annual Sheep Fair every September. Masham boasts a good choice of inns excellent restaurants traditional shops and famous breweries. There is wonderful walking directly from the site into the beautiful Wendsleydale scenery with its medieval abbeys castles and waterfalls. Lightwater Valley Theme Park Forbidden Corner (a garden of surprises) Leyburn and Fountains Abbey and Ripon with its dominating cathedral are all within 10 miles. The elegant Spa town of Harrogate is 20 miles and the historic city of York is 35 miles. Golf cycle hire riding fishing sailing – 3 miles. Pub 1.5 miles shops 3 miles. |
