Burnbrae is home to three one bedroom, four star rated cottages and guests who stay will find tranquility, comfort, space and a refreshing absence of problems. The site is surrounded by agricultural land but is no longer a working farm. The proprietors time and other resources are devoted to ensuring that guests have an idyllic experience in the Scottish Borders. They live on the site and are pleased to help guests with information and other assistance.
Independent reviews and online booking are accessible via the owners' website.
Each cottage is light and airy with plenty of space. From the dining area of the living room, there is direct, level access to a south-facing conservatory with views across the secluded garden, river and the Tweed valley to the Cheviot hills and the border between Scotland and England.
Each cottage is generously equipped for 2-4 people for self catering. All of the rooms are on the same level and reached without any step up or down from the large, private car park. Cars can approach close to the main entrance of each cottage for loading.
We are fortunate to have in Kelso and the surrounding area high quality restaurants offering superb locally produced food. There are pageants, fortresses and stately homes. Abbotsford, the home lovingly created by Sir Walter Scott is a short drive away.
