| Commanding magnificent rural views towards Holy Island (6 miles) these delightful and recently renovated cottages provide a very comfortable base for exploring the historic and natural attractions of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. To the rear and surrounded by woodland a pretty lake (totally fenced for safety) attracts abundant wildlife and boasts a seating area for visitors to relax and enjoy the truly peaceful setting. To the west of the cottages lie the wild natural beauty and great walking opportunities of the Northumberland National Park whilst to the east the glorious Heritage coastline features Holy Island and Bamburgh’s long sandy beach and imposing castle (19 miles). Just 6 miles away is Berwick-upon-Tweed with its Elizabethan walls museum theatre interesting shops cafes restaurants and station for the 45 minute train journey to Edinburgh or Newcastle.
