Description of the cottage

Old Dairy is a traditional Cornish property set in 5 acres of private land, in one of the most stunning parts of the country.

Enjoy uninterrupted views of Bodmin Moor from your doorstep, amble along to the local 11th Century pub for a meal, cycle and explore the Camel Trail, take horse rides onto the Moor virtually from your own front door, and there's so much more.

Old Dairy Cottage is situated at Hallagenna, which was once a farm and home of Beatos, the original black stallion from the Lloyds Bank adverts. Although now no longer a working farm, Hallagenna maintains its rural character. Horses graze in the paddock and share their fields with wild rabbits which can be easily spotted amongst the grass. A wealth of wildlife can be found grazing the adjacent moor, including ponies, cattle and sheep.

Originally a milking parlour, Old Dairy has been tastefully converted to provide single storey accommodation. In addition to the exposed beams and traditional thick stone walls, this character cottage has its own private access, parking and patio area, featuring BBQ and garden furniture. The open plan area has a log burner, TV, DVD/freeview and a selection of DVDs, games and books. Wi-Fi access is included. This cottage has a shower only.

Although found in a peaceful location on the moor, Old Dairy is less than 10 minutes drive from the A30 main road through Cornwall. This central location means that all areas of Cornwall can easily be explored.

The Moorland village of St. Breward is a 10 minute walk away, and features, The Old inn & Restaurant with its cozy bars, roaring log fires, and proper Cornish welcome, and is the highest, and one of the oldest in Cornwall. The Inn is child and pet friendly. St. Breward also has a small village shop, and Post Office.

Short breaks of less than 7 days can be considered. Please contact the owners via email or the 'contact owner' button, to discuss availabilty and tariff.

Well behaved dogs are welcome for an additional 15 each. Maximum of 2 dogs. Prices listed do not make any additonal charges for 'Dog Guests'. Please contact the owners to arrange for the additional payment.

Central heating is included in the price during the Winter, Spring and Autumn.
