Set in the grounds of the 400 year old Compasses Inn which offers a warm welcome and very good food both cottages share the inns’s lovely gardens overlooking the cricket green and surrounding countryside. The River Allen is just 100 yards away. Salisbury Plain Cranborne Chase and the Forest afford excellent walking and Wilton House Kingston Lacy (N.T.)
