Maintained to a high standard, with modern kitchen, bathroom and gas central heating. The front door opens into an open plan living room with sitting, dining and kitchen areas. An inner lobby leads into the bathroom and both bedrooms. The twin has two small singles and a wardrobe. The double has a standard double bed, cabinet, wardrobe and chest of drawers. A sofa bed in the living area converts to a small double bed.
The bungalow fronts onto a large green area which is ideal for children to let off steam while you can still keep an eye on them.
There is space to park two cars to the rear of the property. Please note that gas and water are included in the price, however electricity must be purchased on a card meter - a family of 4 may expect to use around 10 in a week.
Gurnard pines is a great holiday park for families and couples alike. On-site facilities include 25 metre indoor pool, heated outdoor swimming pools (Whitsun - end of August), tennis courts, a fitness suite, 'Monkey Mansion' softplay area (see photo), brasserie and bar. There is also an outdoor play area onsite, (see photo). Whilst on the woodland walk you may even be lucky enough to see one of the many red squirrels that live on the park.
A number of the on-site facilities, including the swimming pools, require a pass to use them. Passes can be purchased at reception on arrival. A 7 day pass is 21 for adults and 15 for 4-16 years olds. A 4 day pass is 16 for adults and 12 for 4-16 year olds. Under 4s are free. These are current prices in 2012.
Gurnard itself has a couple of good traditional pubs, beach cafes and a lovely seafront play park. A stroll along the promenade to Cowes will take around 45 minutes and all the while you can take in the world class views of the Solent.
