In Somerset yet only approx 11 miles to the Dorset coast a Traditional local stone barn conversion available for holiday letting. Set in 2.5 acres on the Dorset/Somerset border, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, surrounded by forest and farmland.
Well furnished and equipped the cottage makes an excellent base for walking and exploring the many historic houses and gardens in this area, including National Trust properties such as Montacute House, Barrington Court, Lytes Carey, and the privately owned gem Forde Abbbey. The south coast is within easy driving distance for Thomas Hardy country, Lyme Bay, Weymouth and the Chesil Beach where you can enjoy superb scenic coastal walking, fossil hunting, swimming fishing and boating or simply soak up the seaside atmosphere of these charming Dorset seaside resorts. Cricket St. Thomas' Lake and Gardens are very local as are Yeovilton air Museum and the Haynes Motor Museum with its fascinating collection of classic and vintage cars. The picturesque small town of Beaminster is 4 miles away. Inland family days can be spent visiting such places as Glastonbury Tor with its splendid views over Somerset, Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wells cathedral city and the Georgian city of Bath with its Roman Baths,museums, shops and restaurants.
Situated in a really peaceful position at the end of a long track in courtyard formation around a non working farmhouse, this single storey cottage has its own garden furniture, BBQ and use of the large lawned areas. There is ample parking and PETS ARE WELCOME by prior arrangement.
The village of North Perrott is 1.5miles away and is a conservation area. It has a good village pub with excellent restaurant. There is also in the village a very good Farm Shop serving light lunches, teas and coffees and there is also a garden centre. It is a beautiful walking area wtih many of the national trails criss crossing the village and it is also so very central for the many attractions.
WOOD BARNS 1 & 2 ARE SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIRS AS THEY ARE COMPLETELY FLAT INSIDE , HAVE NO STEPS , WALK IN SHOWER CUBICLES AND HAVE EXTRA WIDE DOORWAYS.
WOOD BARN 2 is a single storey barn conversion. It has a Large loung/dining room,with ample comfortable seating, TV, and DVD player. A sunny fully fitted breakfast kitchen with full size built in oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and large fridge/freezer. The bathroom has bath, toilet and basin and walk in shower cubicle. There is a separate toilet and basin. 2 full size bedrooms. 1 double and 1 twin both with wardrobes. There is a Z bed in lounge that can be put up for a fifth person Full oil fired central heating & the property has fitted carpeting throughout and is double glazed . Heat and power are inclusive. All linen is provided with the exception of towels

Outside there is a large patio area with garden table and chairs and use of all the surrounding lawned area.
