Set close to a busy touring route it lies within easy reach of the beautiful cathedral and Bishop’s Palace at Wells the fantastic gardens at Stourhead and Clarks’ shopping village at Street as well as the myriad seaside pleasures offered by Lyme Regis (16 miles) Branscombe Beer and Sidmouth. Forde Abbey National Trust properties at Barrington Court and Montacute and the interesting Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton are also well worth a visit.
