Within easy reach of the county town and cider centre of Taunton the sands and traditional resort of Minehead from where you can join the South West Path or take the West Somerset Railway Porlock village and weir and the famous resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth. Good NT properties to visit include Dunster Castle and Watersmeet. Fishing and sailing on Wimleball Lake (10 miles) with golf and horse riding available locally.
