Mouse Cottage is situated in a quiet rural location, enjoying stunning farmland views in all directions. Originally built in 1792, it has been extended to offer well-proportioned and spacious family accommodation, boasting 3 bedrooms (1 en-suite) and a family bathroom and ample living space, it makes a fantastic base for a perfect holiday on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. Nestling in the beautiful Waveney Valley, on the Norfolk/Suffolk border in the village of Ditchingham, Mouse Cottage has stunning rural views from every aspect. The RSBP Nature Reserve at Minsmere is close by in the Sandlings area and you will also see lots of birds and wildlife in the countryside surrounding Mouse Cottage. Nearby are the beaches at Kessingland and Lowestoft. Just a little further are the beautiful seaside resorts of Southwold and Aldeburgh. While you are in Southwold you must visit the famous Adnams Brewery which is on a site occupied by a brewery since 1660! Adnams brewery tours are available (only for over 18's though). Mouse Cottage is ideally situated for Pleasure Wood Hills Theme Park or Great Yarmouth where, as well as the beautiful soft sandy beaches you will find the Pleasure Beach, just at the end of The Golden Mile. If you want to experience Norfolk city life then head to Norwich, packed with a fantastic array of shops and market stalls, pubs bars and cafes and wonderful places to visit. Mouse Cottage has 2 double bedrooms, (1 with en suite), and a twin room, all upstairs. There is an upstairs bathroom with a seperate shower and a downstairs cloakroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and has an Aga and there is a dining area in the kitchen in addition to the seperate dining room, which overlooks the rear garden. The lounge has a multi fuel stove to keep you warm on chilly evenings and we supply the wood and kindling. The lounge also has a TV with Freeview and DVD player. The recreation room has a vaulted wooden ceiling and houses books, games and a HI-Fi. Outside there is a patio area, with outdoor furniture, a large lawned area with shrubbery borders and a double garage.
We do provide Bed Linen and Towels for your stay but are unable to provide Beach Towels.
Our normal change over day is Friday, however, if you wish your holiday to start on a different day we may be able to be flexible, depending on availability.
