Heron Cottage is a delightful property in the picturesque and historic Norfolk village of Castle Acre .Superbly situated for visiting the beautiful villages and beaches of North Norfolk this recently refurbished property offers extremely comfortable accommodation for four people.
A superb base for walking holidays - the famous Peddars way starts in the village and there are many beautiful houses and estates to visit. Delicous food available in the village pub, 'The Ostrich' and in the tearooms, 'The Castle Gate' which also has a great deli, both just a short step away from the cottage. There is a village shop and post office whilst just a little further afield at Swaffham you will find an excellent Saturday market, Waitroses supermarket and many other shops including an excellent butchers . Sitting in the shadow of the famous Bailey gate Heron cottage combines history with comfortable and modern amenities to give a tranquil relaxing break, private courtyard garden and secure parking.
There is so much to do in this lovely part of England, from the famous Castle and Priory in the village to the wonderful Poppy line steam train that runs from Sheringham to Holt and so much more.There are many traditional country pubs in this part of Norfolk that serve excellent local produce, try the delicous Cromer crabs at Cookies crab shack or treat yourself at the famous Hoste Arms at Burnham Market.
Heron Cottage offers one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Fully modernised shower room with walk in electric shower Separate sitting room and open plan kitchen/dining room.
