The town has a good range of local and specialist shops and a lovely market square. There are also many buildings of architectural importance, a museum and Mapperton Gardens close by.
Lyme Regis is about 12 miles away and is a most delightful seaside town with harbour and the famous Cobb. The town abounds with art galleries, restaurants and other entertainments.
The Jurassic Coast, the only natural World Heritage site in the UK, and the bustling market town of Bridport, with West Bay, are minutes away by car. Fishing and golf are available nearby.

'This large cottage has two ensuite bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a King size bed, TV and DVD player. The bathroom has been completely re-furbished and has a bath and walk in shower. Bedroom 2 is accessed via bedroom 1 and the bathroom, and has a double bed and a 3ft single bed, 21" TV, Freeview, and DVD player. Fully equipped kitchen/diner, down stairs toilet and wash basin. Lounge with exposed stone walls and beams. T.V with Freeview and DVD. Large shared garden with areas of privacy, barbecue and garden furniture.
