| Set amidst lovely countryside in the peaceful hamlet of Lidwell on the Cornwall/Devon border this beautifully converted very spacious and attractively furnished former barn is ideal for larger groups. The surrounding area has so much to offer and just a short drive away are the delightful market towns of Tavistock Callington and Launceston with its castle and steam railway trips.Well worth a visit and only a little further afield are the picturesque south coast resorts of Looe and Polperro whilst historic Plymouth’s Marine Aquarium Dome theatres and shopping are about 20 miles distant.The National Trust’s enchanting medieval house at Cotehele with its valley garden leading to the quay and watermill on the River Tamar is just 7 miles away. For walkers there is Kit Hill Country Park (3 miles); canoe and boat trips along the Tamar are readily available and the St Mellion golf club (8 miles) offers a range of leisure facilities. Shop/post office and pub serving food about 2 miles. |
