Poplar Cottage is a 200 year old cottage, full of character features such as beams, sash windows and a wood burner. It is in Calstock, near Tavistock a pretty village on the banks of the river Tamar in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has a village store, large free car park and two pubs serving excellent food.
Situated on the Devon/Cornwall border, it is an ideal base for exploring both counties. Catch the picturesque Tamar Valley Train from Calstock to Plymouth across the historic viaduct. Boat trips available from Calstock quay. Many National Trust properties and tourist attractions within a short drive. Under an hours drive to the Eden project and Cornish south coast beaches.
