The bedroom provides a double bed with fitted sheets and duvet. There is a built in wardrobe, bedside cabinets with lights,hideaway wall mounted dressing table/desk, stool, wicker chair, tall corner storage unit, convector heater, full length mirror and two windows. One over the garden and the other the village and Quantock Hills.
The bathroom provides a bath with shower unit and screen. Sink, toilet, shaver point , light and heated towel rail. Full length non-slip bath mat and bathroom mats are provided. The landing cupboard contains the immersion heater, hairdryer, hoover and extra storage. Stairs with hand rail lead down to the ground floor.
This area is open plan with kitchen/ diner and living room. The cream ceramic tiled floor along with the vanilla kitchen units and white paint work, make this living area very bright and light. The modern kitchen provides a full size ceramic hob cooker, fridge, 23L stainless steel convection oven/microwave, grill and a slow cooker. There is a comprehensive range of microwave and general cooking utensils provided.
There is a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board and pegs provided. The two heaters are wall mounted, and likewise the TV. The radio is digital and a portable DVD/CD player is provided. Electricity is by meter which takes £1 coins.
Periwinkle cottage has two private pretty gardens, patio, brick barbecue ( cooking utensils and crockery items are provided), summer-house with garden furniture. Wonderful views of the rural countryside and Quantock Hills. Local maps and walking guides are provided, and delicious tea of home made fruit scones on arrival. A secure garden shed provides a freezer and extra storage for guests.
Stogumber provides a PO, shop, White Horse Inn, 14th Century Church, Steam Railway Station (1 mile from the village) beautiful countryside and walks. Visit Dunster Castle, Combe Sydenham Hall, Cleeve Abbey, NT Properties, Gardens, Minehead, Dunster, Porlock, and explore the Quantock Hills, Exmoor and coast.
The small town of Williton (3 miles away), provides extensive shopping facilities with two supermarkets, Newsagents, Green Grocer, Iron Mongers, Chemist and an Auto/Cycle shop. There is a Nat West and Lloyds Bank, PO, Shell petrol station, several pubs and an Indian Restaurant.
