Yet superb Blue-flag beaches at Bantham, Thurlestone, Hope Cove and Salcombe are just a short drive away with opportunities to discover stunning coastal walks, hidden coves, beautiful National Trust landscapes or be more active with water sports and sailing.
Ideally suited for up to four Greyhound Cottage can accomodate six as there is a high quality futon sofa bed in the sitting room. The property, over two floors, comprises of a well equipped, sunny kitchen/diner, overlooking a small herb garden. With a dishwasher, microwave and eating area. Greyhound Cottage also has a light, airy sitting room with far reaching views over the town and the quaint cottage garden. This room contains both three and two seater sofas, freeview televison with DVD, CD player. There is also a multifuel burner in which to snuggle down next to on chilly evenings.
Upstairs there is a large double room providing plenty of storage and a frame bed, this delightful room has fantastic views across town and to the park. The bathroom has an electric shower and storage for towels etc. There is also a further comfortable bedroom with bunkbeds.
Outside, the property is accessed down steps from a communal walled courtyard area. There is an outhouse here for further storage of beach toys, wellies etc. the washing machine and dryer are also located here. There is also a coal/wood store. To the back of the property is a beautiful cottage garden with two seating areas in which to catch the sun. A table and chairs are provided with room to barbecue. A meandering gravel path through the perfumed rose arch will take you to the lower private patio in which to make the most of the last rays of sun.
Kingsbridge offers a wealth of activities and facilities all year round including award winning restaurants, independent shops and great pubs and cafes. The Quay and its ever changing tidal waters provides opportunities for waterside dining, crabbing and boating and mooring facilities. These are all accessible within less than 10 minutes walk, so theres no need to use the car!
One of the town's parks can also be accessed within minutes from the property using a private path with no roads. The park has newly constructed facitities including zip wires and climbing walls.
