Walk the 0.75 miles to the Monks Retreat, an excellent 15th Century Inn with fabulous food. In a superb location but less than 4 miles from the fascinating historical towns of Totnes and Ashburton. We keep Dartmoor ponies and rare breed poultry on our 2 acres. Ideal for two families as there is a family unit of double room, twin room and bathroom and a separate double room and bathroom.

The cottage retains it's cosy character, it is light and bright inside facing mainly south and west. Visitors are welcome to see the ponies, chickens and ducks which we keep on our 2 acres. Centrally situated between the English Riviera, quiet South Hams beaches and the Dartmoor National Park, Broadhempston has 2 interesting Inns, The Monks Retreat and the Coppa Dolla, renowned for there character and really excellent home cooked food. Nearby towns include Totnes, Ashburton with it's River Dart Country Park and Newton Abbot with its racecourse. The lovely unspoilt South Hams beaches of Bigbury and Bantham are a short drive away.
