This lovingly restored 16th century cottage delightfully combines original beams with contemporary comfort and overlooks its own secluded garden with ornamental pond. Adjoining the owners' home and boasting use of the 'fun' tennis court in their walled garden it sits on a no through road in a sleepy hamlet just 3 miles from Newton Abbot a bustling market town offering good shops a railway museum and famous racecourse. Within easy reach are England's highest waterfall at Cantonteign and the Dartmoor National Park a vast expanse of moor granite tors and woodland grazed by the famous ponies criss-crossed by sparkling rivers and streams and dotted with delightful villages such as Widecombe-in-the-Moor where visitors can enjoy welcome refreshment after some of the finest walking and riding in the country. Wonderfully scenic cruises up the River Dart to Dartmouth and Kingswear depart from Totnes a town of great charm with interesting shops and galleries to explore whilst the 'English Riviera' towns of Torquay Paignton and Brixham offer a wide range of attractions.
