Cider Cottage is a single-storey building converted in 1984 from a creamery, stable and cider pressing room. It offers an open-plan kitchen/dining room leading to the sitting area with a bay window overlooking our pretty courtyard. One Bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has 3 singles. There is a bathroom with a shower over the bath, a large secluded garden and ample off-street parking. It is situated 3 miles inland in a rural area, within the East Devon AONB and on the edge of Woodbury Common. Short breaks are available, please contact owner. A cot and high chair are available if required. There is a microwave, a washing machine and airer plus outside drying space. There is a TV with Freeview, a DVD player and a CD/radio. Dogs allowed (small charge payable).
Whist we have had many wheelchair users stay here, visitors should be aware that there is one step between the dining and living room areas. This step is approximately 10cm high.
Cider Cottage adjoins our home and the garden is shared. It is enclosed but not fully and we regret that dogs must be kept on a lead whilst in the garden. Similarly, children should be supervised.
There is no mains gas in Yettington and all heating is provided by electric storage heaters (included within the price). Because it is a rural area, mobile phone coverage is patchy at best. However, the scenery is beautiful, there is a community shop in the next village which is just over a mile away, and the 2 pubs there are excellent.
There are many places to visit locally to suit all ages and budgets. If you require some inspiration, please let us know in advance of your visit and we can tailor-make some suggestions.
