A detached centrally heated cottage set in the Cotswold village of Chalford Hill at the head of the Golden Valley, an area of outstanding beauty and historical interest and ideal for walking.
Close to the Georgian town of Cheltenham (12 miles) very handy for those wishing to visit the Cheltenham Festival of Literature at the beginning October, Roman Cirencester (7 miles) and the old mill town of Stroud (4 miles), which boasts an award winning Saturday Farmer's Market. Bath and Bristol are within easy driving distance.
Close by is the Slad Valley of Laurie Lee fame.
The nearby Minchinhampton and Rodborough Common sports two golf clubs while local attractions include Westonbirt Arboretum famous for it's Autumn colour, Cotswold Water Park, Rococo Gardens at Painswick, the National Trust Properties of Hidcote and Dyrham Park, National Gardening Scheme Yellow Book open gardens.
Indeed the neighbouring village of Eastcombe has NGS open gardens on the 6th and 7th of May 12012 and Weavers is an ideal place to stay to ensure two great days out.
Badminton and Gatcombe are also close by.
The cottage has a beautifully planted south facing garden with views over the valley, with its own arbor, patio and a driveway with easy access and parking for two cars.
