| Description of the cottage
|
We have carried out major work at Well Cottage earlier this year and have completely refurbished and redecorated throughout. We opened again in May with a beautifully smart and stylish look which hopefully our loyal and regular clients will approve of, and which new visitors will appreciate.
Our detached two-bedroom cottage on the spectacular Roseland Peninsula is tucked away on the edge of a peaceful hamlet between Veryan village and the picturesque little fishing harbour of Portloe. It sits amidst open countryside with unspoilt sea views out to Dodman Point.
Inside we have installed a brand new kitchen - this time with a dishwasher, and we have created a brighter more modern look to the living room, but with its beamed ceiling and stone fireplace we hope it does still retain a cottage atmosphere. The ground floor has a large utility/laundry room - an ideal space to leave boots, wet weather coats and beach gear, and there is a modern bathroom and a separate shower room on this floor.
The stairs to the first floor are safe and easy (often a consideration in country cottages!) leading to two charming bedrooms delightfully furnished and with large built-in wardrobes. The double bedroom, which has unspoilt views of the sea, has a king-size bed and a TV; and the other is a twin bedded room. All the beds, furniture, carpets and flooring are new and of high quality throughout.
We very much want you to feel at home in spacious, stylish accommodation with an emphasis on cleanliness and comfort making Well Cottage a perfect base from which to explore Eden, Heligan, the Maritime Museum and the many beautiful Cornish gardens. There are many opportunities to sample good local restaurants or quaint country pubs, experience a wide range of leisure and boating activities, or simply enjoy stunning coastal walks and unspoilt sandy beaches and quiet coves just minutes away.
There is ample, safe parking within the grounds.
Please note, we regret we are no longer able to accept children under 12 or pets.
Centrally heated/double glazed and available all year.
Minimum stay of 4 nights for Christmas and New Year.
